Sleep has always been a challenge in our home. After countless sleepless nights and feeling like I was losing myself, I knew something had to change—and quickly.
Through research, I discovered that neurodivergent children often don’t produce enough melatonin to help regulate their sleep cycles.
You might think the answer is simple: just give them a melatonin supplement. But it’s not that easy! My kids have food aversions (so gummies are out), won’t swallow pills, and can spot anything unusual in their drinks right away.
After searching for alternatives, I found Sleep Berry by Joyspring. It’s a liquid, which is perfect for texture and absorption, and it’s made with elderberry, so it actually tastes good (I tried it myself!). Plus, it’s gluten-free and sugar-free.
I started giving it to Alex, who struggled the most with sleep, and the results were immediate—he finally slept through the night! I could hardly believe it.
Two years later, it’s still a staple in our bedtime routine. Now Julian takes it too. While we still have the occasional tough night, this has been a true lifesaver for us—working like a charm 95% of the time!
